Wands

The Wands belong to the element of Fire. They symbolise inspiration, ambition and the raw energy we use to start projects and pursue what we want. In the Minor Arcana, Wands are the suit of action and creativity – they answer “how do I make it happen?” rather than the deeper “why” of the Major Arcana.

Themes in the Wands include passion, confidence, competition and growth. When Wands appear in a reading, they often point to energy you can channel, new beginnings, or the need to take bold steps. Unlike the Major Arcana’s archetypal journey, Wands focus on the here and now: ideas turning into action, and the fire that keeps you moving forward.
